Deanna McBreaty demonstrates the proper technique for frappé at the barre.
You will begin in a coupe position with your knee back and heel forward. This is the position you will return to between each frappé.
You want to think about keeping each motion quick. Try to hold the “out” accent longer than the “in” accent. You should only be in for a split second, but the out should extend and freeze. This helps to show a nice picture for the ending position.
