Ballet expert Deanna McBreaty demonstrates a combination focused on fondu. This combination is for intermediate dancers at the barre.
To begin, you will come into coupé with your heel more forward than your toes and your knee out to the side. From there, you will move into a tight sus sous position.
Next, you will fondu on flat to a nice 45 degree angle, rond de jambé to the side and tendu to close in fifth position. When you rond de jambé, it’s important to maintain the turn out of both legs to make sure you’re working the correct muscles.
You will then repeat this combination on the other side.
