How to Do A La Seconde Turns
Start your prep in a turned out prep.
Deep plié so your weight is distributed evenly on both feet.
Engage your abs.
Swivel your arms and turn.
Left heel comes up just a little bit but keep your base leg in plié.
Stop to the front, left corner.
Your right leg is at a 90-degree angle with a pointed toe.
Straighten your base leg, going into releve, and opening your arms.
Bend and plié again facing the corner.
*Make sure you do not lift your right hip and turn your leg in. Keep it facing up. Also, make sure you are spotting. Have strong, straight arms too. Keeping your core tight is important.
